"With the exception of Mary-Anne Hobbs and John Peel, very few have stuck their necks out for Longstone. That's a shame. Both spluttering, glitchy, futuristic electronica, and the motorik sensibilities of yesteryear's krautrock masters inform their music. The result is an intelligent and surprisingly accessible style of rump-shaking, rib-rattling linearity that contains just the faintest hint of electro and South American rhythms. And just to give you variety, there's eerie sci-fi atmospherics and space station control room-style sonic sculpture too. Longstone resolutely refuse to follow the dictates of fashion, and they blast the hell out of your speakers. 4/5"
